2 Corinthians 12:9 – Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ can work through me.
Jesus once said, "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." Sometimes it feels like neither are willing and it's much easier to just roll over in bed and wait until we absolutely must get up.
Don't worry! The Lord sees your weariness and stands ready to sustain you. That way, when you peel yourself from bed and get through your day, you can testify that it was all His strength working through you.
Everything we worked toward, calculated, planned for, went off without a hitch, even the improvisations. It was a perfect, perfect night, regardless of nerves, anxiety, or tiredness on my part; any of that was immediately forgotten once he started singing.
All I could think was, we made it, we're finally here; it's happening and it's so beautiful.
There will be other moments like this later in life: greater expectations, greater faith, greater joy. But this night was treasure and will always be treasure. If you were there,
you know.
To be a piece of This Intangible Existence has been the most exquisite gift from God. I have no idea what will happen next, what shape it will take on next; I can feel the shift in my soul and it's exciting and deeply sober at the same time.
But we hold on to these things, these shining, sparkling days under the sun before winter comes, and then after that, spring...
I was blown away, choked up and in awe.
