These nights are why it's called Hard Talks.

There's still more to do. It would be really easy to just throw the record into the void as it is and call it a day. But I'm a perfectionist and need input, so under the microscope it goes.

For some reason, I hear Seti [from the scene in the Prince of Egypt when Moses finds out that his adoptive father is a genocidal maniac that almost killed him] in my head: "Moses... Sometimes... for the greater good... sacrifices must be made..."

I can chose to do whatever I want for this debut. 'But will it be the right decision for MRYM in the long run?' is always the question that immediately plagues me.

Ehhh... guess we'll find out...

The Winter Polaroids by TIE  I really am a summer soul trapped in a winter body.  Winter is so much longer than summer, to me. It stretches the mind out thin, makes it eat itself to survive the cold, dark, lonely nights. I spend a lot of my time reorganizing things that aren't physically there: images, words, color schemes. Spirit to screen for hours at a time, there's something that feels productive about it, like taking a detour down the notebook and pen aisle at the store when really you're just there for milk. The illusion of productivity, I think it's called.
